Hours of Operation at Unity Elementary are Monday through Thursday from 3:00 to 6:00 pm.

We are excited to announce that MCSS received the 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant which provides funding to help support our schools in offering a free after school program for students in 3rd through 8th grade. At Unity, we offer a 3rd through 5th grade program! The 21st CCLC After School Program provides students with a daily nutritious snack along with homework help from certified staff, and club rotations.

Club rotations include academic tutoring in reading and math as well as enrichment activities designed to help engage students. During the 2019-2020 school year, we had the following clubs: Academic Aces, Literature & Fine Arts, STEM, Technology/CTAE (Coding), Culinary/CTAE Club, and Fitness Club. We also had Brain Games, Checkers and Chess Clubs this past year. All clubs are designed to support a student’s academic progress and achievement as well as improve engagement.

The program for 2019-2020 started September 9th and was planned to run through April 23rd before distance learning began on March 13th. Check back with us for additional information regarding the 21st CCLC After School and Summer School programs for the 2020-2021 school year.
