July 6, 2020
Dear Parents and Guardians:
I have been made aware of surveys on various social media sites requesting the preferences of the type of instructional environment (Traditional, Virtual, Undecided, etc.) in which students will learn during the 2020-2021 school year. These surveys were not created or distributed by Meriwether County Schools. We are currently drafting a survey for parents and stakeholders to share their thoughts regarding the start of school.

Meriwether County Schools will continue to communicate updates as these plans become finalized primarily through the district website: www.mcssga.org. Once the contents of the survey are finalized, the school system will disburse the survey on or before July 16, 2020. Please keep in mind that as situations change, these plans may change.
We have tremendous community and parental support, and we do not take those relationships for granted. I encourage your feedback as we realize this pandemic has created undue stress on our students, parents, and staff.
We appreciate our students, parents, and staff, and we want to be there for each of you.
Thank you,
Superintendent Dr. Robert Griffin
