PreK Learns About Important African American Historical Figures for Black History Month
Students in Mrs. Pierce’s PreK class celebrated Black History Month by discussing important African American historical figures. First, they learned about Garrett Morgan and his invention of the traffic light. Then, they learned that George Washington Carver created many things from peanuts. To connect their learning, students made traffic light snacks with Graham crackers, peanut butter and M&M’s. The kids really enjoyed it!
