Meriwether Schools will have an early release due to inclement weather on Feb. 12th and will transition to remote learning on Feb. 13th!
February 12th Post:
Due to the potential for hazardous road conditions from the recent flooding, all Meriwether County Schools will release early today, February 12, 2024, beginning at 11:30 AM. There are several paved roads where the water is beginning to cross the pavement due to rising waters, and the dirt roads could become impassable in many areas with more rain predicted. These scenarios do not allow for the safe transportation of students. All 21st Century activities are cancelled as well on February 12, 2024. Again, Meriwether County Schools will release early today, February 12, 2024 beginning at 11:30 AM. The school system will continue to monitor road conditions and provide further updates if required. February 13th Update:

Schools will contact parents and guardians by either email or phone call regarding the details of remote learning. There are several paved roads where the water is crossing the pavement, and the dirt roads are impassable in many areas. These scenarios do not allow the safe transportation of students.
